• CHT shines at the 2026 NZ’s Best Awards

CHT Care Homes has once again stood proudly in the highly-competitive annual NZ Best Awards, scooping four wins, two finalists and the exeptional honour of the nationwide Multi-Care Facility Excellence Award.

These awards are particularly meaningful because they are based on reviews from residents and families. Their feedback tells us directly about their experience of life and care at CHT, and that is incredibly important. From care and clinical teams to activities, administration and support services, and those providing meals, cleaning and laundry, every role contributes to the experience of residents and families. All of those contributions matter and shape what life at a CHT care home is like.

Congratulations must go to the individual care home teams who received accolades, including North Island Best Aged Care Medium / Large Facility won by CHT St Margarets, North Island Best Aged Care Small Facility won by CHT Hillsborough, North Island Best Aged Care Medium / Large Facility finalist CHT Parkhaven and Enduring Excellence Award winner / North Island Best Aged Care Small Facility finalist for the team at CHT Royal Oak.

It is also wonderful to see CHT Care Homes receive organisation-wide recognition again, winning the nationwide Multi-Care Facility Excellence Award this year. Following our Multi-Care Excellence Award in 2025, it is particularly pleasing to see our strong performance recognised again. Recognition built on the care our people provide every day

“The Multi-Care Facility Excellence Award is recognition for all of CHT,” said Carriann Hall, Chief Executive at CHT Care Homes. “While some of our care homes have also received individual awards or finalist recognition, this organisation-wide award reflects residents’ and families’ experiences across our care homes and the contributions of teams throughout CHT.
