    Carriann Hall CHT Care Homes Chief Executive

    Chief Executive

    Carriann joined CHT as Chief Executive in July 2021. A Chartered Management Accountant, Carriann has extensive public health sector experience at senior management levels, both in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, complemented with senior management and financial services experience in the private sector.

    With a compassionate and positive leadership style and established strengths in strategic development, Carriann is committed to enabling CHT’s continued success in delivering its charitable purpose of access to affordable, quality care for older people.

    Chief Financial Officer

    Stuart Tabuteau joined CHT as Chief Financial Officer in March 2020. Previously he was Chief Financial Officer of Kiwi Property, NZ’s largest NZX listed property company.

    He has more than 25 years’ experience in the property, venture capital, funds management and services industries in both the UK and New Zealand, with a focus on delivering positive change by leveraging technology to improve systems and processes and enhance business performance.

    Julie-Ann is a degree-qualified Human Resources and Psychology expert with more than 25 years of international experience working across a variety of private and Government sectors, where she designed, developed and led business functions, teams and change management projects for Human Resources, Learning and Development and Employment Relations.

    Her ambitions for her role at CHT is to design and deliver Employee Experience and Engagement, HR, Coaching and Talent Management strategies and develop collaborative relationships with the industry association and union partners. As a qualified Coach, she proudly enables and empowers leaders, teams and functions.

    Sharon Mildon CHT Care Homes Clinical Quality Lead

    Clinical Quality Lead

    Sharon is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years extensive experience in healthcare and the aged residential care sector. Sharon possesses a wealth of skills, knowledge and qualifications, combining management and clinical experience with a broad expertise in clinical quality. Recently Sharon has completed qualifications in Health Auditor Training and Improvement Advisor programme.

    Caring for older people has always been a passion for Sharon as demonstrated in her previous roles as a Quality Nurse Leader and Gerontology Nurse Specialist for aged residential care at Te Whatu Ora. Sharon joined CHT in February 2024 and is dedicated to ensuring that our clinical processes and teams are providing the best possible care for our residents.

    Alex has nearly 20 years of international experience in the real estate, commercial aviation, and retail sectors. He joined CHT as Property and Maintenance Manager in February 2022. Alex has a proven track record of building Facilities Management departments from the ground up, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and managing multi-million-dollar contracts.

    Passionate about people, he excels at building strong, trust-based relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Alex’s people-focused leadership style and dedication to strategic business development have consistently driven successful outcomes throughout his career.

    Carol Ropati CHT Care Homes Area Manager

    Area Manager

    Carol is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in nurse management and clinical roles and in addition to support of our Bay of Plenty and Waikato care homes, is the Resident Advocate and Privacy Officer.

    Carol has worked for CHT since 2008 when she joined the Trust as Quality and Training Manager. She was appointed to the Operation Support Manager position in February 2011 and Area Manager in 2012. Before joining CHT Carol was Nurse Manager at Pacificare Trust Centre and Hospital. Previous roles included working as a Public Health Nurse and Case mix Educator with Counties Manukau District Health Board and Clinical Lecturer for Manukau Institute of Technology.

    Sharmila Devaraj CHT Care Homes Area Manager

    Area Manager

    Sharmila began her career at CHT in December 2010 as a Registered Nurse at CHT St Johns Hospital. She later moved to CHT Royal Oak, where she served as a Clinical Coordinator before advancing to Unit Manager and, in 2017, Area Manager. Originally trained as a Registered Nurse in India, she specialised in oncology, particularly in bone marrow transplantation and cardiac intensive care.

    Passionate about providing exceptional quality care to residents, Sharmila consistently looks for ways to incorporate advanced tools and systems into her practice, ensuring that care remains both efficient and compassionate.

    Wynnona Faustino CHT Care Homes Area Manager

    Area Manager

    Wynnona has worked for CHT Healthcare Trust since it acquired Peacehaven in 2013. Wynnona has worked at Peacehaven since 2008 in various clinical and management roles, including as a Clinical Coordinator and Unit Manager since 2016, before being appointed as Area Manager in January 2021.

    An experienced Registered Nurse who has graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Master in Nursing degree ( Major in Nursing Administration Service) in the Philippines, Wynnona has also worked in the Coronary Care Unit Department. She also became the College of Nursing Clinical Instructor and Intensive Care is her other field of expertise.

    Area Manager

    Tina joined CHT in 2014 as Care Home Manager at CHT St Margaret’s. In 2013 Tina took on an acting area manager role and was permanently appointed to the role in July 2024.

    Tina is a Registered Nurse with experience in health management in both the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Before joining CHT, Tina was a Regional Manager with Iris Health and previous roles include a four year contract as Operations Manager for communicable disease control with Auckland Regional Public Health Service. Private sector experience was in importing and distributing medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Tina’s nursing experience includes aged care, Emergency Department and medical nursing at North Shore Hospital and prior to that Hutt Hospital.

    Stuart Williams

    Stuart Williams is a Chartered Accountant by training and is currently the Head of Equities for Nikko Asset Management New Zealand Limited. He has worked across all disciplines of investment management for 19 years and for the last nine years he has worked in the equities area performing analysis on companies listed on both the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges.

    In addition to his general stock research responsibilities, he has been the primary analyst for the healthcare sector in Australasia, the primary analyst for the aged care sector in Australasia and a portfolio manager for various investments funds. He has previously held board positions for both Cycling NZ and Bike NZ.

    Robyn Beguely

    Robyn has over 25 years senior Human Resource Management experience working for Fisher and Paykel Ltd, Auckland District Health Board and NZ Dairy Foods Ltd.

    Originally she qualified as a Registered Nurse with experience in both the UK and New Zealand. Businesspeople Ltd, a Human Resource consultancy business, was founded by Robyn in 2007, where she works closely with small to medium sized companies in the “for profit” and “not for profit” sectors.

    Alex Price

    Alex has worked in the healthcare sector across a number of countries around the world. Alex’s early career was spent in the NZ dairy industry as a chemical engineer. Subsequently he completed an MBA in Europe and then a Graduate Certificate in Reproductive Medicine when he joined Fertility Associates as Chief Executive in 2007.

    Providing affordable healthcare is a continuing challenge for many societies and with a growing elderly population in Aotearoa New Zealand, Alex is passionate about bringing his skills to the Board to help tackle this issue in aged care. Alongside his role on the CHT Board, he is also Chair of Shorecare an urgent care clinic group on Auckland’s North Shore. Previously he has held Board roles with the National Health Committee and Peak Primary, a primary care group.

    Raewyn Lovett ONZM – CHAIR

    Raewyn Lovett is a partner of national law firm Duncan Cotterill, specialising in corporate, commercial and employment law. She i also an experienced director and is the Chair of Aktive Auckland Sport and Recreation, Chair of Quotable Value Limited, Chair of Dunedin Venues Management Limited and a trustee of Medicine Mondiale.

    Terry Moore

    Terry brings extensive experience as an executive and director in both private and public healthcare to his role on the Board, having recently retired as CEO Southern Cross Healthcare after 20+ years in senior leadership roles.

    Alongside his strong financial and commercial skills, Terry is also a Chartered Accountant, healthcare consultant and sits on a number of Boards. Terry notes that the ‘not for profit’ values and culture of CHT align well with his personal beliefs.

    Dr Lynne Lane

    Former Mental Health Commissioner at the Health and Disability Commission, Dr Lynne Lane has held a number of senior positions within the Public Sector, including Chair Commissioner of the Mental Health Commission, Director of Public Health at the Ministry of Health and Acting Chief Executive of the Central RHA.

    In the private sector Dr Lane owned and developed an innovative and financially successful general practice before specialising in Public Health Medicine. After specialising, she established and managed a multi-million dollar company which achieved the goal of significantly reducing the costs of medicines in New Zealand.

    Lynne has also undertaken a wide range of consulting assignments for Government funded organisations, the World Health Organisation, the World Bank, NGOs, and private companies. Dr Lane is currently a Management Consultant to ACC, and holds several directorships, including Board Member of Healthcare Holdings Limited, Managing Director of Affordable Healthcare and Zygal International Limited, and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Turanga for Research into Tobacco Control, University of Auckland.

    Bruce Waldin

    Bruce is an experienced marketing professional with a focus on strategic marketing and communications development for non-profit organisations.

    Prior to setting up his own marketing consultancy in 2011, Bruce headed the marketing and communications functions for World Vision New Zealand and Heart Foundation, and served on the Boards of a number of charitable organisations. Before his move to the nonprofit sector, Bruce spent 12 years in senior marketing and management roles in the agribusiness sector.
