- Welcoming shared spaces with a friendly, social atmosphere.
- Nurses, healthcare assistants and expert therapists work alongside visiting doctors.
- Delicious and nutritious meals freshly prepared on-site, including choice menu options.
- Special care given to cultural or ethnic requirements and preferences.
Activities programme
Every CHT care home has a dedicated Activities Manager who alongside the wider team and members of the community, creates a bespoke programme for residents, spanning a broad variety of activities.
From quiet pursuits like books, board games and art & crafts, to celebrations for special occasions, to outings to local libraries, parks and community centres. Visiting groups also provide much-anticipated dance and music performances, while our team often share their cultural heritage through vibrant celebrations. Living in a care home is perfect at CHT.
Visiting
We encourage residents to think of their care home as a place where we friends, whanau and family are welcome to visit every day of the week. We also believe that outings for day visits, or overnight and weekend visits are a wonderful way to enjoy a change of scenery while living in a care home.
Likewise, our residents are often visited by community groups – cultural, musical or artistic – to ensure a vibrant atmosphere at their care home.
