You and your family may have a number of decisions to make (and probably a fair few questions as well) when it comes to choosing residential aged care.
CHT is certified under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001 which means all CHT locations, and the organisation as a whole, demonstrates the services we provide are safe, resident focused, continually improving, compliant with standards and meet special conditions required by the Ministry of Health.
Contracts are in place between CHT and five District Health Boards – Auckland, Counties Manukau, Waitemata, Waikato and Bay of Plenty. District Health Boards are responsible for funding residential care services for older people and only facilities with certification and comply with the Health and Disability Sector Standards can have a contract with DHB’s.
